All About Nellie

Nellie Lyons is a ceramic artist creating one-of-a-kind works that explore texture, volume, and quiet detail. Guided by an intuitive and evolving process, her pieces invite slow observation and reflection, revealing delicate gestures and layered dimensions over time.

Drawing inspiration from nature, memory, and personal experience, her work explores themes of identity, home, and belonging. Influenced by her childhood experiences between Los Angeles and Mexico, Nellie incorporates symbolic forms such as flowers, leaves, houses, and windows to reflect connection, perspective, and continuity between past and present.

She sees possibility in every fragment of clay, transforming material into richly textured forms that balance softness, structure, and subtle complexity. Through her work, Nellie hopes to create moments of pause — encouraging viewers to slow down, notice hidden details, and experience a sense of meditative discovery.
